Why use a Lone Worker Device?

24/7 Support Everyday, Everywhere

When working alone and in high-risk environments, the ability to reach help is vital. Lone Worker devices connect you to help 24/7, 365, meaning that you are your employees are never alone.

Life Saving Support at the Press of a Button

You never know what may happen and if you will be in a position to call for help. Using a lone worker device means that raising an alarm for help is as easy as pressing a button.

Accurate GPS for Fast Response

In the case of an emergency, speed of response is so important. With accurate GPS tracking sent to monitoring during an alarm, emergency services can easily be directed the exact location of the incident.

Voice Recording as Evidence

BS8484 devices must be connected to complying monitoring centres who record the audio coming from your device as soon as the alarm is received. This recording can then be used as evidence if needed.

Person-down Support - Fall Detection

Falls are one of the most common accidents at work and some leave the worker unable to call for help. Fall detection in your lone worker device raises an alarm for help, even when the worker is unable to do so.

How does it work?

Our Chiptech GO lone worker device keeps you safe when out and about and can provide support to you 24/7, 365. This advanced and discreet device can be set to silent or voice alarm mode depending on your needs and preferences.

In silent mode, you can raise an alarm by holding down both buttons. Your device will then vibrate to reassure you that your alarm has been sent to an alarm receiving centre. In this specialised Lone Worker mode, the responder can hear what is going on around you, however, they do not communicate verbally with the device so to keep your alarm discreet and unnoticed. Based on the information they receive, they can send emergency response to your exact location using the GPS tracking in the device.

You can also use the alarm with its verbal announcements and speakerphone function so that an audible alarm is heard on pressing both buttons and the Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) responder will talk to you via the speakerphone in the device to establish which type of help is required.

Who may benefit from a lone worker device?

If you or your team work in contexts where they are at high risk of physical injury, verbal abuse or in any vulnerable environment then this device is suitable. One of the most important responsibilities as an employer is to keep your team safe and this can be hard to achieve when they work alone in ever changing environments. By providing each worker with a Chiptech GO Lone Worker device you ensure that no matter where they are, they can call for help when needed.

In some challenging circumstances, the individual may be at threat and unable to use their phone to ring for help. This device allows the user to raise a silent alarm for help that is sent to an Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC)  who will assess their current GPS location and listen to what is happening. They are then able to arrange the appropriate response service for you without you having to speak to them directly. We hope that your team never needs to raise an alarm, but if they do, they can be confident in the knowledge that help is available 24/7, 365.
